What Underlies Your Anger?

Anger is one of the safer emotions we can express when it comes to feelings that are vulnerable, negative, unfavorable, etc. More often than not, when you are experiencing anger toward a person who holds value in your life there are so many other emotions right below the surface. Anger usually is the one that gets expressed because it’s not as vulnerable as saying, “What you did really hurt my feelings” or “I am feeling really let down and disappointed by this situation.” This anger iceberg activity provides guidance for some other vulnerable emotions that might be taking place. The next time you find yourself feeling angry, ask yourself what other things you might be experiencing.

Be well.
