More Good Grief!
This week’s wellness tip builds off of last week’s tip. The link attached gives you some insight into the tasks of mourning. It’s important to remember that it can take time to feel like you’ve accomplished the final task. During first three months after experiencing a loss, it’s normal to feel like your world has been turned upside down. You are experiencing something traumatic, and nothing will feel okay. All you can do during that time is do things that give you a chance of feeling good, have a healthy support network, and stay the course. Grief and loss forever change you, but with time, you can feel some relief.
Two of my favorite workbooks on grief and loss are “Healing Your Grieving Heart” by Alan Wolfelt and “Angel Catcher: A Journal of Loss and Remembrance” by Kathy Eldon & Amy Eldon Turteltaub.
Be well.
