Self-Soothing Techniques

The weather is changing and darkness is setting in much earlier each day. You, probably like me, may have found that your energy seems lower and you find yourself wanting to spend more time inside during the work week. It might feel nearly impossible to go to the gym or make plans with friends after work, but there are still things you can do to relax, decompress, and self-soothe. Do something after work today that makes you feel good and matches your energy. For me, that means doing relaxing things like taking a hot shower, having tea, or wrapping myself up in a big blanket. I have also found immense comfort in turning out all the lights, lighting a candle, and binge watching a good show. Try to find some ways to rest and relax if your energy is feeling low this week.
