Ways to Self-Soothe

Self-soothing can be a powerful tool to immediately reduce stress, anxiety, or discomfort. You probably already have plenty of automatic behaviors you use to self-soothe without even realizing it! That might be rubbing your feet or hands together, touching behind your ears, or touching your face. Those things are all an attempt to calm down. Other things like drinking tea, having a bath, or wrapping yourself in a warm blanket are great for self-soothing. Check out this link for additional tips.
