Challenge Your Anxious Thoughts
This week’s tip builds off of last week’s tip. Make sure you have a good understanding of what sort of cognitive distortions you tend to use before trying to question the thoughts. Attached is a link to a worksheet that outlines some ways you can begin to challenge these thoughts. The idea is to get you to a neutral or more objective place when you find yourself engaging in negative or anxious thinking. You will find that some of these prompts resonate more with you than others, so use the ones that feel right for you.
