Setting Personal Goals

This week’s tip will help you understand how to set some personal goals. Included is a link to a really great worksheet that helps with this. This worksheet identifies some of the domains of wellness, including family, friendships, physical and mental wellness, spirituality, and work or school. If one does not feel relevant to you, skip it or add in something that resonates with you. This worksheet also takes a holistic approach to goal setting and can help you identify the areas in which you are successful. Sometimes it’s easy to only focus on the things we aren’t doing right without giving ourselves credit for all of the positive things we did today to work toward our overall goals.

Do one small thing each day that works toward your goals. That might look like calling your mom, having quality time with your partner, reaching out to people on LinkedIn, going for a walk, etc. Remember that these personal goals are attainable and involve doing one thing each day that you’ll thank yourself for in the future. Be well.
